The Deluxe Sashiko Jersey Kendo Gi brings you all the advantages of contemporary technical fabric in a traditional design Kendo-gi.
Striving to bring you the best of both, Tozando offers here a comfortable and easy to use Kendo jacket almost indistinguishable from it's cotton counterparts.

The middleweight fabric is moisture wicking and quick drying, and with the special inner layer, gives you an unparalleled comfort under extreme training conditions. Sturdy, it is not only for hot days, but also for all-season intensive training.

Although it's color is as close as genuine indigo as it gets, it won't bleed or stain skin and other garments, and can be washed without extra precautions.

All this is takes the form of a proper Kendo-gi. The top part is weaved in sashiko (rice grain) style, while the lower part is in lighter hishizashi (diamond shaped) patterned style.

The center back seam allows for better conservation of the shape and easier movement through practice.
We also added shoulder pad reinforcements where the Do-himo usually sit, for extra comfort and durability.

5 of 5 So comfortable June 8, 2018
Reviewer: Ron Agor from Davao City, Philippines
In a lot of places in the Philippines, it gets really uncomfortably hot. Our dojo, for example, is basically an old, re-purposed bowling alley hidden off the main road; a searing oven in the right condition, and that's even before you start warm-ups. It's not actually the heat that gets you though (it's usually a comfortable 32 °C), but the humidity, which makes everything 10 times worse.

Now, on to the actual review. At first glance (or touch, rather),  it feels thick in your hands, kind of like thick cotton or something. What sets it aside from the regular cotton kendogi, however, is that it allows air to pass through. Now it looks opaque, but set it against a light, and you can actually see through it. The best part is it also doesn't weigh you down from all the sweat it gathers as you do keiko, like a regular cotton one would. And to top it all off? It looks absolutely stunning. Like a tuxedo, only not as hot to wear, but looks 10 times more awesome.
