Information Technical Specs.

The Tagayasan (Senna siamea) is a broad-leaf tree from the legumes family and is grown natively in Southeast Asia countries. In Japan, Tagayasan is also called Tettouboku, literally meaning iron sword wood, and, like the blackwood or purple wood, it is considered representative of high quality wood.
Premium Hardwood Tagayasan Bokken
The wood is hard, durable and resistant to corrosion. One of the characteristics of Tagayasan is that it takes a long time to grow up to 100 years until it can be used for wood.
The actual color or the wood grain may differ from the image due to the nature of product. Tsuba and Tsubadome are sold separately.

Disappointed March 31, 2018
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Italy
The shipping was fast.
Unfortunately the bokken is damaged.
There are thin and long cracks along the handle which compromise the use for medium contact. They are not wood grain but cracks. These thin cracks are annoying also for the suburi.
I’m disappointed with the poor quality of this bokken.
