Information

Our Kyoto Suzaku Series Iaito are renowned for their dense and durable blades as well as impeccable finish. All handmade by our craftsmen in Kyoto, who hone their skills by constantly making these beautiful swords in our Nishijin workshop.

Omakase is a term in Japanese that means "by the maker's choice". You use it when you wish the craftsmen to use their best judgement and preferences when finishing a piece of work for you. In this case, we are now offering our Suzaku as "Omakase" Koshirae - this means that you can give us your preferred length and our craftsmen will select an appropriate Koshirae just for you.

Whilst you do not get to choose the individual fittings and design, instead of waiting for weeks for the Koshirae to be made, our craftsmen wil send you one of their latest appearance within a couple of days! These swords are available for a limited amount of time, but come at an unmissable price.

The Koshirae you receive will match the length you set, but the choice of elements like the Tsuba, Menuki, Saya and Tsuka-ito are all left up to the craftsmen. All of these Iaito have been made in our Nishijin workshop in Kyoto.

If your desired length is not available, we will contact you directly to let you know how long it will take to send. Like all of our Suzaku Iaito these swords come with our 1 Year Tsuka-maki Re-wrap Guarantee and Free International Shipping (excluding Brazil).

The "Kyoto Japan" Mark is a mark endorsed by the Kyoto Industry Development Consortium and it's given to companies that protects and develops the traditional craftsmanship in Kyoto, domestically and overseas.
As the Suzuku series of Iaito are made in Kyoto, Tozando has been certified to use the "Kyoto Japan" mark with the Suzaku series of Iaito.
