Information

The idea of MOKKEI, literally meaning a wooden rooster, is based on a book of Zhuangzi and describes a situation where one is so focused and concentrated that he or she is standing at attention, as if being a wooden rooster.

Each pair of MOKKEI is handmade by the Japanese Kote craftsman in Iwate prefecture and many practitioners chose MOKKEI as the best pair for competition as well as for practice because of it's flexible wrist and the comfort of wearing it, being handmade. The latest breaking news shows that Kiwada Daiki won the 60th All Japan Kendo Championship with the MOKKEI Kote. View the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEJnSOTk3Ag and view the image.

If you wish to win against the competition, how about using the same tool as the champ whom has 100% confidence in this product.

PLEASE NOTE: We intentionally design our Kote to sometimes feel a little tight at first. This is normal, and they are made this way to help them conform to the exact size and shape of your hands when broken in.
