Information

Unshū Tadasada, also known as Unshū-jū Tadasada (雲州住忠貞). They were a group of swordsmiths who where active during from the beginning of Muromachi period to late Muromachi. The smith name of Tadasada was inherited for several generations and the first generation Tadasada is said to have lived in Bizen where he belonged to the Yoshii School. Their excellent worksmanship often looks like Bizenmono at first glance, in particular their use of Hiro-Suguha hamon.

This sword is thought to be made by one of the earlier generations of Tadasada, which made excellently tempered Suguha blades and had a similar style to Sue-Bizen.
