The filming is good quality, well lit and you have the reiho and each kata demonstrated at full speed with Kawaguchi Sensei breaking things down in order to explain the salient points Usefully, he turns around to show different views etc and even shows bad form too where applicable, as an instructor might in the dojo. BUT, it is all in the Japanese language with no available English subtitles. He shows the Shoden, Chusen and Okuden kata.
I've given this DVD 4/5 stars because it is so expensive and when this is compounded by the tax and revenue charges levelled in the UK it means it cost me about 93 pounds sterling! That is a lot of money for two DVDs. Surely in the 21st Century some sort of download with an option to burn onto disc might be possible to reduce costs. Also the addition of subtitles would make this useful to most of the world rather than just Japanese speakers.
