Takasugi Shinsaku is the central figure of the Great Meiji Restoration that became the starting point for Japanfs modernization and Japanfs rise to a major power in East Asia, and he is as well-known for his military talents as he is for his skills as an able politician. This tank-top features his dynamic illustrated horse-riding portrait and his death poem printed on the front. The poem was read when he was being deathbedded,
"This world that is uninterested, I shall make interesting."
