When choosing your Kendo Hakama, the first thing to consider is the material.
For hakama, you can choose from traditional cotton or tetron - which is a fiber blend of polyester and rayon.
When it comes to machine washing frequently due to intense or increased practice, cotton-made kendo hakama tend to fade and shrink, but the luxury of the fabric makes it ideal for special events such as exams or competition.
Tetron hakama, on the other hand, are comparatively much easier to clean, and and this type of kendo uniform is recommended for beginners.
