This Aranami Koshirae's theme is angry seawaves of Sea of Japan. Sea of Japan has almost no tides because of its nearly complete enclosure but once the weather gets bad, the waves become unavoidable threat and for that reason, waves of Sea of Japan is believed to be a god-being.

A sand-casted, a bubble-free zinc/aluminum alloy blade available up to 2.50 shaku. Approximately 1000 gram for 2.50 shaku Tsuka is carefully hand-wrapped with the cotton braid and the Sageo matches with the Tsuka color. Silk Tsuka wrapping/Sageo are also available(the additional ¥15300 is required).

Please allow approximately three weeks for the production. Handmade in Japan. *A zinc/aluminum alloy blade is not constructed for cutting and/or hitting any objects. Please do not attempt these actions.

What an excellent iaito.  Its weight and balance is perfect.  I added a couple of custom features including a 10 sun tsuka and silk tsuka wrapping and I'm glad I did.  The tsuka wrapping is nice and tight.  My only disappointment is that I would have preferred a 2.6 blade, but it only comes in a maximum of 2.5.  Overall, an outstanding iaito.
