This Gi & Hakama set is the perfect combination recommended to the enthusiastic and serious Kendo practitioners.

The Kendo Gi is made of traditional Bushu Shoaizome-dyed cotton fabric and bio-chemically softened for comfort. It is double-layered with the backseam and the special shrink proof treatment is also applied on the Gi.

The fabric used for the Hakama is the traditional Bushu's indigo-dyed #11000 cotton. For the quicker movement, this #11000 fabric is lighter and thinner than the conventional #11000 and less tapered in the shape in order to keep the silhouette no matter how hard you move. Presoaked.

    To determine your Hakama size, measure between the top hip bone and the anklebone in standing position. This length is approximately equivalent to the length between the bottom of rear obi and rear hem. Refer then to the size chart shown above.     This is the best set of hakama and gi set I have had so far. Although my previous set was also of good quality, after wearing this one feels a lot lighter. It is also incredibly soft and has a really pleasant smell as opposed to other sets that smelled of indigo dye.

    I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to purchase a new hakama or gi. The fabric is very thick so it will definitely last for a long time, and most importantly it is soft and comfortable to wear. Yes, the price will make you think twice, but you definitely get what you pay for with this item!

    NOTE: sizes do run big so I would recommend anyone buying this set to go half or a full size down!

    I have just purchased my second Gold Zen set in ten years. I purchase the fist one when I started kendo it is still in very good shape after 10 years and 3 practices a week.
    I purchased this one for my Yondon test, and it is so beautiful. I love the stitching in my name, and the color is wonderful. Thank You Tozando for supplying such a beautiful kendo gi & hakama. I will buy no others...
