The Legend Series: Kondo Isami's Kotetsu

This Kondo Isami's Kotetsu Koshirae features brass Fuchi/Kashira with tigers theme that refers to the first Kanji letter of Kotetsu, reading Tora(tiger) and an iron-made Tsuba with a dragon theme to match with the tiger. Brass Menuki features theme of tiger in bamboo bushes. Saya is partly carved in Sendan and lacqured in Chaishime and the rest is lacquered in Kuroro. Tsuka is wrapped with the light brown color cotton over a blackened genuine sharkskin, whose color contrast reminds the tiger. The blade reproduces the original Hamon pattern of the sword that was once owned by Kondo Isami himself.

A sand-casted, a bubble-free zinc/aluminum alloy blade available up to 2.45 shaku. Approximately 850 gram without the Saya for 2.45 shaku.
