Tetto literally means an iron sword and the name is derived from the shape which resembles the Japanese sword, but it doesn't have the cutting edge and the function is rather similar to the Jutte's because it is mainly designed for the purpose of capturing the enemies without damaging them and/or for the self-defense. Traditionally the Tetto is also called Kabutowari, that is, a helmet crusher. This Tetto Kabutowari is made of hard solid steel and the handle is securely and tightly wrapped with the cotton cord. All handmade. 47 cm long. Approximately weight: 670g.

Great piece July 7, 2014
Reviewer: James Archer from Ripley, Queensland Australia
Received this weapon very quickly and excellently wrapped and packed. It is of very solid construction - however, unlike the photo pictured, it is solid black in colour (looks like good quality powder coating) - it actually looks better than the colour shown in the site photo! Only point to note is that the grip is quite small - from "tsuba" to end of handle is only 4 and 1/4 inches long. I have small hands, so suits me well, but those with larger hands may struggle. Overall very good.
