Tensho Koshirae

Tensho Koshirae was first designed as a reproduction of the original Tensho Koshirae sword owned by Akechi Mitsuharu.

For the idea, the copper Fuchigane is finished in antique style and we use a genuine water baffalo horn for the Tsukagashira. 100 % silk Tsuka cord is carefully and securely wrapped over a blackened genuine sharkskin. Such a sword with the dignified appearance and the spirit, you cannot get at anywhere else. Sageo is also made of silk in traditional Kaikuchi style. The zinc/aluminum alloy blade is reinforced with the latest technology of sandcasting and the length is available up to 2.55 Shaku.Approximately 830 gram without Saya(2.55 Shaku). Saya available in Kuroro(black gloss finish) and Kuroishime(black matte finish).

I have ordered the Tensho Koshirae for Iaido in 2008 July. It is unostentatious but noble and very nice quality. I like the Tsuka's shape very much. It is a shape I recommend for Iaido practicioners. The blade has a very good ballance and low weight with acceptable flexibility.
I like it. It was a good purchase.

This Iaito is one of the best Japanese swords I've seen. It has very good flexibility, It's not heavy (around 900 gram for 2.55 shaku) and has perfect balance and a perfect Koshirae.

The quality of this sword makes It a must have for the dvanced practitioner.

2,55 lenght available, superb balance, silk tsuka, less then 1 kilo and you have it for reasonable price.
