Tadayoshi Koshirae

Tozando's Tadayoshi Koshirae, which has received so many praises and compliments from customer around the world, is now back as the classic series Iaito. This Tadayoshi Koshirae's blade perfectly imitates the original Hizen Tadayoshi whose Hamon style is considered unique and aesthetic. Often this artistic wave is refered to an image of plover flying along the seawave line.

Tadayoshi Koshirae features the Sendan Inro Chaurumi finished Saya and genuine leather wrapped Tsuka. Copper Fuchi/Kashira features flying birds to match the theme of the plover. Zinc/aluminum alloy blade available up to 2.50 shaku. Approximately 890 gram without the Saya for 2.50 shaku. Handmade in Japan.

This Iaito caught my eye as soon as I saw it. My Sensei and forums online recommended Tozando in the highest regard. The Tadayoshi Koshirae's beauty and craftsmanship are even more evident in real-life. I ordered the 2.5 shaku length and it is well balanced and sounds magnificent during cuts. The copper fittings are superb and the leather-wrapped handle feels great. The hamon pattern is elegant. The saya is perfect. Other members of the dojo are very enamoured with it. I feel like I am practicing with a work of art.

I called the Tozando staff via Skype and they were happy and helpful in answering my questions. They are top-notch. I received my sword long before I expected it. The packaging was superb. The transaction was smooth. I am confident in saying that I will purchase all my future blades here, and you should too!

I decided that for my first Iaito, it must be exceptional, thus I chose this. I have absolutely no regrets.
