5 of 5 An excellent iaito for an excellent price. December 1, 2016
Reviewer: Kartik Raman from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania United States
I have been practicing with this iaito for about 5 months now and I am very happy with both the overall build quality and the feeling of the sword. The weight and balance are very good, and with a slightly shorter blade (2.4 shaku) it matches my arm length perfectly. All of the fittings look fantastic as well.  I would recommend this to anyone looking for an iaito.

5 of 5 First Iaito for Iaido practice November 22, 2016
Reviewer: C. Murray-Hill from Victoria, BC Canada
This is my first Iaito and very pleased.  I have been using it a year for regular Iaido practice (2-3x per week) and has stood up very well.  I did not customize.  My sword is 2.45 shaku and is 784g.  Less weight than most Shinken of the same size, however I wanted a lighter sword due to a soft tissue injury in my right shoulder blade (the injury has not been aggravated). The fittings and Ito wrapping are still very tight after one year and were done exceptionally well.

It has taken time to get used to his sword.  We are learning from each other and getting along well.  My one issue was that the ornamental Tsuba was rubbing my thumb knuckle, especially during gyakuto waza.  However, my grip was incorrect.  By correcting my grip the problem resolved.  For a beginner, this might be an issue, but then the sword taught me the best way to approach its use.

One cannot really go wrong with this sword.  I will buy my next Iaito from Tozanda, and perhaps a Shinken once I'm worthy of one.
