Great tool for training in heavier weight without buying a suburi bokken/shinai weight and balance are adjustable.
at first i thought it was a plastic but it's a rubber, so its provide a good grip

Useful addition for suburi

This is a great way to improve your suburi without having to purchase and cart around a specialised stick. I keep mine in my bogu bag and use it to limber up with. The apparent weight can easily be altered by securing along the shinai (for most dobari shinai you could probably get it from half way along the blade length to the tip).
Stays securely in place even when swinging quickly.
