A great starter Iaito October 19, 2011
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from United Kingdom
I was impressed with the quality of the fittings and finish considering the low price and the balance was perfect. Delivery was very quick and weeks ahead of the scheduled delivery date. Communication was excellent and I loved being able to track it's journey from Japan.

Level of Quality October 15, 2011

I am very pleased with my Iaito that just arrived from Kyoto, it is more than I expected to get.

But, the transportation got a little complicated: I had to ask for a written approval from ministry of economy and regional development that I can legally bring my Iaito inside the state. That written approval costs 80 euros, which isn't cheap at all. So if you want to order a Iaito, first get ready an extra amount of cash for taxes and other stuff.

mi primer iaito! September 22, 2011
Reviewer: Luis Alfonso Aranda Bernabe from cASTELLON, castellon Spain

Excellent Iaito in this price range July 26, 2011
Reviewer: Robert Gutierrez from Morrisville, North Carolina United States
Just got my iaito in a few days ago and I am thouroughly pleased with my choice.  After searching several different websites for good quality iaito.  I went with this one from Tozando for the weight and price all being about mid range of the others that I looked at.  It is well put together and wonderfully balanced.  As another review has stated there is a little rattle near the end of the saya.  It also arrived earlier than expected so that was an added plus.

A few others at the dojo I go to have felt it and appeared very pleased in my selection.  I would highly recommend this iaito to anyone starting out.  It feels almost like a part of my arm during practice.

Quite pleased, excellent entry-level iaito December 12, 2010
Reviewer: Ethan Savickas from Boston, USA
The fittings are tight - so tight, in fact, that I have yet to dissemble the sword thanks to the death grip the tsuka has on the nakago. The wrap is solid and not going anywhere anytime soon, likewise the fit of the saya is snug and fits the blade well, with only a very minimal rattle toward the very end of the saya.

The suguha hamon is pleasing for being brushed and has very attractive light dynamics, very similar to a real hamon on a steel blade. The blade itself is straight and balanced properly (about 6in from the habaki on my 2.45 shaku blade). With this replacing my previous less-well-balanced iaito, many features of proper swing, stance, technique and so on suddenly make perfect sense from my beginner perspective. The blade is highly durable and feels solid in the hand, surviving accidental contact unscathed.

This is a simple but strong iaito that can survive those first months of practice and continue on for years. It easily stacks up to its pricier brothers.

A lovely sword November 27, 2010
Reviewer: Billy Yong from Singapore
I finally received my iaito today after an arduous 7 weeks, but seeing it now, it was well worth the wait!

Very well balanced, a beautiful "suguha" hamon, and strong, well fitted koshirae. Aesthetically, there were a few bubbles on the tsuba, some tiny nicks along the shinogi-ji, and the sageo had a slight tear along the mid-section. BUT, this is after all, a practical iaito! Worth every penny, and then some!

My one gripe is the lack of colour (sageo/tsuka-ito) and hamon options. But for the price I paid, I couldn't have asked for more.
