This Toppei Koshirae's design was based on the antique one made in the period when the Tokugawa Shogunate was falling. The uniqueness of the Toppei Koshirae is the big metal ornament attached on the Saya end, called O-Jiri.

Selected bamboo Mekugi peg. Fuchi/Kashira made of copper in antique finished. Copper Tsuba is available in four theme. Silk Sageo . Blade made of a reinforced zinc/aluminum alloy*(available up to 2.55 Shaku for an approximate weight of 840g). Made in Japan.

I've just been practicing with the Toppei for one month and it's a really great sword, I feel really confortable with it and it's perfect balance is remarkable.
Also note that it's lighter than expected so it's perfect for long training sessions... The tsuka style is quite strange at first but in the end it turned out to be very comfortable!!
I'm absolutely happy with the Toppei and recommend for anyone who looks for a good sword
