This is a Koto Style Shinai with a close to straight silhouette, also called "Chokuto" style, because of this the weight is almost evenly distributed through out the Shinai creating a balanced feel.
The "Ittou Sai" model is recommended for practitioners who is about to buy their first Koto Style Shinai.  

In Koto style Shinai the weight is more evenly distributed through out the Shinai, while the center of the gravity is located closer to the tip, imitating the balance of a "real sword". Because of this it's said to be more difficult to master and preferred by high level practitioners.
