Hon Koshirae, translated as a professional grade sword, is a great example of the sword craftsmanship for Minosaka Iaito sword series. The wider and thicker blade, made of an reinforced zinc/alumimum alloy*, is a replica of a Kanbun Shinto sword. The weight and balance are so superb this Hon Koshirae has become the favorite Iaito among Iaido Dan holders. Copper Fuchi/Kashira(authentic Guribori theme) is in antique finished. At 2.50Shaku, this Iaito weighs about 1,000 grams without the Saya.
