Kyoto Tozando Series 1.2 Bu Hand-Stitched Bogu Set "SOUGEN"

Mengane is Tozando's inventing IBB D-Pro. It is duralumin featuring light-weight and practical use. Also by jointing three parts into one mengane, shock spreads when hit and shock absorption also has got better. Moreover top of mengane slightly overlaps in which way mengane itself got strengthen too. Also special material is used for third line from the top to increase durability.

Futon of men is made of high-quality cotton, all hand-stitched by french seam method, also known as Fukuronui in Japanese. In this way Futon comes in neat and fine design and becomes lighter because after stitched both outside and inside out, to look like a pocket, only adjusted amount of material is stuffed to fit. In normal sewing method good amount of material is laid between fabrics and lastly trim it where excess stuffing could happen. Inside of Futon a compound of Japanese felt and cotton is padded. Also indigo-dyed deluxe level of deerskin is attached onto Futon.

Chin guard is available for six different designs.

Do base is 50 pieces of Yamatodo(reinforced plastic).

Mune(chest guard) is made of Krozan leather which requires manual time-taking process; first, leather is smoked to make it more durable and air goes through better. And varnish with liquid iron following lacquer, which turns into gorgeous black color later. After completely dried it under the sun a craftsman rub it with own hands to make surface uneven and lacquer only on projected surface and then lacquer two more times after that. Six different designs are available for Mune.

Knuckle of Kote is indigo-dyed deluxe level of deerskin, same as the rest leather parts. Kote palm is Shoto which means smoked deerskin featuring comfort and softness. A compound of Japanese felt and cotton is padded inside of forearm of Kote.

Tare is also natural indigo dyed with stitch of 3.6mm in width and trimmed beautifully by our expert craftsmen. Deluxe level of deerskin is attached. 6-line of silk braids decorated.

Tenugui Towel, Men Himo/Do Himo included.

Monomi Adjustment We attach the Uchiwa ring and Mengane according to each order unlike the norm that the premade Men is adjusted according to the given information. The view through the Mengane metals, so-called Monomi, will affect your posture and performance.
4. Special Tie Cord for Menbuchi hide Tying the Mebuchi on Men is crucial. And Tozando uses the special, extra-strong cord to make it perfect.	5. Japan Urushi Lacquer No artificial lacquer is used. The true, natural Japan Urushi lacquer is richer and deeper in the Japan black. Tozando is daringly using the Japan Urushi of Kyoto's origin.
