This is my first iaito. I ordered it October 28 and got it November 20th !!!!
Blade Length:2.35
Tsuba:Muji
Tsuka/Sageo:Cotton Iron Navy (greenish color, love it!).
Saya Lacquer:Kuroro
Carefully wrapped. Looks amazing.

Very good not great |

I've just received my sword today (damn the shipping went fast! From Japan to Sweden in 3 weeks with production) It's a nice sword even if I expected more but if you have in mind the low price it's very good. I think tho that it isn't so hard to find a better sword for the same amount of money. You pay a little extra for just the "made in japan"-thing. But is that worth 70 bucks? I have a Paul Chen sword at home (in steel and sharp) that is in better condition than the one i bought from here... and the price was even lower! Of course China made and a katana isn't really to be compared to an iaito but still worth thinking about. Another thing is the habuki and how it fits the hole of the saya (hope this will be better over time). I give this one 4 stars. To sum up: very good, not great.

Excellent sword for the price! |

As a beginner iaidoka, I searched long and hard to find an affordable sword. Though I eventually settled on the Minosaka series Jidai koshirae iaito, I was worried that the sword might not be of a very high quality. However, I received my sword today and Tozando have truly outdone themselves with beautiful, excellent quality koshirae, a solid, stable construction and quality craftsmanship, as well as providing the best service I have ever had from a company. I would pay a much higher price for this sword - it is really worth it!

A beautiful iaito |

I ordered the sword on May 6, and it arrived on July 5. It took only 3 days to ship from Japan to the United States (California).
The iaito arrived in perfect condition. It was shipped in a very nice sword bag. The bag was wrapped in bubble plastic and placed inside a medium weight cardboard box, the empty space in the box was filled with crumpled newspaper. That box was placed inside a heavy weight cardboard box, which was strapped and taped together with a "Fragile" label placed on the outside.
The iaito is extremely well made. All fittings (tsuba, fuchi, tsuka) and ito are tight. The blade shines and has a very nice fake hamon, that adds to the artistry of the sword. The habaki fits tight in the saya, and the blade makes a great "whoosh" sound when a cut is made. The whole iaito feels "alive". It is so artistic, that when not in use I keep it mounted on the wall in a sword rack so I can admire it! Needless to say, I am now a lifetime customer of Tozando.

Please allow me to thank and congradulate the Tozando team for their exceptional work, the Tozando team has handled my order of the Jidai Koshirae iaito in a very professional manner. My only concern was the safe shipping and handling across the world but the iaito was perfectly packed to arrive in excellent condition. Domo arigato gosaimashita.
