This sword made by Sagamino Kuni Sadamune is most characterized by the double grooves running down the entire length of the blade. Aside from its decorative appeal, the smithing of a blade with double grooves allowed the sword to achieve higher levels of rigidity while still remaining in that allusive equilibrium between breaking and bending. Through the latest technology, Tozando has managed to duplicate the design in an hardened aluminum alloy iaito that is surely a testament to the original perfect combination of weight and balance.

Selected bamboo Mekugi peg. Plain Higo style Fuchi/Kashira is made of blackened iron steel. Blade made of a reinforced zinc/aluminum alloy(available up to 2.60 Shaku). Weighes approximately 1000 gram without Saya(2.50 Shaku). Saya available in Kuroro(black gloss finished) and Kuroishime(black matte finished). Handmade in Japan.
