The Samue (作務衣) was originally a type of work clothes for Zen Buddhist priests in Japan and was something that they would wear when they were cleaning, cutting firewood, working the fields and do other daily tasks around the temple. Since it originally was a type of working clothes, it was never worn during proper Zazen meditation sessions or during memorial services, as they were non-spiritual clothes. Although this is the origins of this type of clothing, with time the shape and style changed and nowadays it is increasingly common to see it worn as a type of casual relax wear.

Slim-cut - Slimmer cut to improve the silhouette, making the Samue more elegant to wear.
Seamless collar - By tailoring the collar so that no seams can be seen, it becomes more stylish and luxurious.
Painstakingly beautiful tailoring - Each Samue is tailored by experienced tailors according to tradition in Kyoto, taking appearance and durability into consideration, each garment is carefully sewn and finished to perfection.
Convenient right pocket - the Samue comes with a practically positioned right pocket, which is made in such a way that your elegant silhouette won't be affected even though your pocket is full.
Pants with replaceable elastic string - Since we want your to keep using your Samue for a long time, we have made it easy to replace the elastic string in the waist part of the pants.
Sleeves with elastic finish - The cuffs have been finished with elastic bands to keep the sleeves out of the way when you are working, allowing you to move around with ease.

I ordered a blue Samue, after sometime I was asked if I'd accept a black one instead because a black one had been supplied by accident. I ordered Blue, I don't want to asked to take an alternative to save the company inconvenience, that's not good care for the customer.
This comes after trouble with a sword and Naginata bo. I feel there is a problem with the foreign staff that have been employed.
I want to order a replacement saya for my sword but I wonder will Tozando mess this up too?
I feel at the moment Tozando is not working right.
