Tozando's Aikido Hakama has been specifically designed for Aikido. With Ukemi in mind, the Koshiita insert is made of a tough but flexible rubber compoite that has been engineered to maintain its shape and prevent injury at the same time. The Obi is reinforced by seven ines of stitching which work to prevent tearing and/or kinking. With a more durable Obi, you can also fasten your Hakama more securely. We have also tailored the front of the Hakama to be slightly shorter than the back, which allows for smooth, worry-free movement. The pleats have been specifically stitched to maintain their shape through the years. And as a result of these unique design feeatures, we are sure you will see, like our Aikido advisors have seen, that Tozando's Aikido Hakama is a garment that is as practical as it is beautiful.
