This Learner's Koshirae is a great set for those who has just started his/her Iaido practice. A set of brass Fuchi/Kashira that is oxidized for the great antique appearance consists of the theme of tradtional Japanese cherry flowers. The Tsuba is the typical Sukashi style with plum trees theme and the silver-plated brass Menuki features the bamboo trees, that presents the three most popular trees in Japan, Sakura, Ume and Take. Tsuka is wrapped with black cotton over a genuine rayskin. The saya is available in Kuroishime(black matte finished lacquer) and Chaishime(Brwon matte finished lacquer). A sand-casted, a bubble-free zinc/aluminum alloy blade available up to 2.45 shaku. Approximately 820 gram without the Saya for 2.45 shaku.

Please allow approximately three weeks for the production. *A zinc/aluminum alloy blade is not constructed for cutting and/or hitting any objects. Please do not attempt these actions.

I got my sword yesterday and I had the pelasure to practise with it today. I remained absolutely fascinated by it! It's light and  well balanced, simply ideal for a learner. I was told that probably the ornaments on the Tsuba will wound my hand, but nothing like this happened- I can handle the sword steady and comfortably. I am really happy to practise with my sword!
